Ferragosto in Menaggio

There is a uniquely Italian way to celebrate Ferragosto: a long summer evening that begins with an aperitivo overlooking the lake, continues around a beautifully set table, and culminates in the traditional fireworks display reflected on the water. This is the spirit of the Grand Ferragosto Gala at Grand Hotel Victoria.

The evening begins with a lakeside aperitivo accompanied by live music and performers. Gillardeau oysters, sushi and mini panzerotti set the stage for a culinary journey celebrating the richness of summer flavours in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere.

The gastronomic experience opens with scampi, summer panzanella and caviar, followed by cannelloni filled with buffalo ricotta, lemon and blue lobster, before continuing with roasted pigeon breast, peach chutney, baby carrots and foie gras. The evening concludes with the Midsummer Dessert Islands, an indulgent selection of desserts created to celebrate the brightest night of the year.

As dinner unfolds, all eyes naturally turn to the lake, where the traditional pyromusical fireworks display lights up the water and the surrounding mountains, transforming Ferragosto into a celebration to be enjoyed until the final toast.
